Tom, it cannot be 100% true, I am a special interest. A group of one. They are willing to take money from me. Also, he has about 6 million dollars of bundled donations from labor groups, and some industry groups. I think that the Obama Campaign says they do not SEEK donations from special interests, But they certainly accept them.
To some extent it depends on what you consider a special interest. Republicans call Labor organizations special interest groups, and Democrats call Industry organizations special interest groups. I think the issue is more smoke than anything else.
